Love's like a cat, with eyes so bright,
It pounces close, then fades from view.
It curls upon your lap at night,
Purring soft, as dreams come true.
It bats at hearts, then leaps away,
Whiskers twitching, secrets deep.
With gentle paws, it dares to play,
A love that wakes, yet lets you sleep.
It hums a purr, both sly and sweet,
A warmth that wraps, so soft, so near.
Then swats away your doubt, your feet,
And chases all your deepest fear.
Yet when you're down, it stays, it's true—
A cat's love, tender, soft, and new.
